Back-five forward Harrison Orr joined the Falcons in the summer of 2016 from Championship Club Ealing. Born and raised in Australia, Orr played for Australia Under-20s but qualifies for England through his British-born father, who moved to Australia when he was three. Able to operate in the second or back rows, Orr is renowned for his ball-carrying and big-hitting defence. The Sydney native played Shute Shield rugby with the West Harbour club before forming part of the Sydney Rams group for the National Rugby Championship. Earning a move to Ealing on the back of some impressive performances, Orr's first season with the Championship club was enough to secure a step up to the top flight with Newcastle. Representing the Falcons during the 2016 Singha 7s, he made his starting debut for the club in December of that year during the European Challenge Cup trip to Lyon.
