Newcastle Falcons will open the new Guinness Premiership campaign at home to Sale Sharks on the weekend of September 6th, with the 2008/09 season fixtures having been announced.
At this stage all dates are "weekend of" with specific days and times to be confirmed, but the Falcons have once again outlined their commitment for predominantly Sunday afternoon fixtures with a number of Friday games as well as possible date changes due to television commitments and clashes with other sporting events.The draws for the European Challenge Cup and the EDF Energy Cup are yet to be made with those dates expected in the coming weeks to complete the fixture list.

For a pre-season taster of the new Falcons rugby season, tickets are available for the clash against Australia's Western Force on Friday 8th August 2008.
