Newcastle Falcons will open their EDF Energy Cup campaign at Rodney Parade in Wales on the weekend of October 4/5/6, as they face Newport Gwent Dragons.

The Falcons will be hoping for a repeat of the 29-24 victory achieved over the Dragons when the two teams met in the same competition last season, while their last visit to Rodney Parade back in 2004 also produced a memorable European Cup victory.

After their opener Newcastle face home games against London Wasps and Gloucester, as they aim to book their place in the quarter-finals.

The Wasps clash takes place at Kingston Park on the weekend of October 24/25/26, while Gloucester visit the North East on the weekend of October 31, November 1/2 in the final round of pool matches.
