After the storming success of last year's abseil, once again the Falcons Community Foundation is working with the Vermont Hotel, offering you the chance to abseil down the tallest hotel in Newcastle.

The abseil takes place on Sunday 28th September between 9am and 6pm, with Newcastle Falcons players in attendance to catch you at the bottom after your 200ft descent.

The day will be memorable with Flash the Falcon starting proceedings on the Vermont hotel roof.  Participants will then take in the breathtaking views of Newcastle as they make their way to the ground. You will be fully harnessed and given a safety briefing by our qualified abseil instructors. 

All participants will also be invited to an exclusive drinks reception in Martha's bar, where you will be presented with your complimentary photograph with a Falcons star and mingle with the squad.

All you need to do to take part is register for £25 and then we encourage you to raise as much money as possible through sponsorship. 

Any participants who raise £100 or more will be entered into a draw to receive one of five signed balls from the Falcons. Raising over £300 gets the participant a stunning signed Newcastle Falcons shirt. Our highest fundraiser will receive dinner at the Vermont hotel with Newcastle Falcons players.

Please note that the minimum age for this event is eight years old. Book early to avoid disappointment. This is a sponsored challenge; your entry fee covers the cost of staging these events so please ask family friends and colleagues to sponsor you.

All proceeds will go to the Falcons Community Foundation, which works across the North East delivering community programmes in a variety of areas, including health, education, grassroots rugby, club development and social inclusion.
