Newcastle Falcons has announced a special family ticket deal for the visit of London Irish to Kingston Park on Sunday November 16 (kick-off 3pm).
Falcons players took part in the official launch of the family ticket available for the London Irish - and made headline news.James Grindal (father), Carl Hayman (mother), Micky Ward (son) and Jon Golding (daughter) posed as a happy family to promote the new deal.
The formidable four made a lovely picture of a happy family, where Grindal clutched Hayman's waist, Golding played with his hair braids and Ward hung on to his Falcons teddy bear. At one point, Grindal even proposed to Hayman, who wore a fetching pink outfit and size 13 sandals.
The Falcons Family Ticket has been launched by the club to encourage families to have a great day out at Kingston Park. From only £50 two adults and two children can attend the game in the covered South Stand, and will receive a free car parking pass for the game. Families can also upgrade to West stand seats for £75.
Marketing manager Gill Stephenson said: "In the current climate Newcastle Falcons recognise how costly a great day out can be for a family, so we wanted to give families the opportunity to come along to the Falcons, to sit or stand protected by the weather and have the ability park at the game.
"We're so pleased the players got involved, and how they understand the importance of giving families the opportunity of coming to the game. It's not everyday you see players of their stature ready to dress up in such horrific outfits!"
The concept was put together by design-house Cravens, responsible for other great promotions like National Geordie Beard Day, amongst others. The Journal couldn't help but get involved, and the Falcons made front-page news. There is also a "making-of" video to view online at www.journallive.co.uk .
Family tickets are limited and are now available to buy. For more details please call the Falcons Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 60 60 or pop to Kingston Park.
