East Stand Season Ticket Prices

Having received supporter feedback, Newcastle Falcons wishes to make the following clarification on East Stand season ticket prices for the 2010/11 campaign.

For the 2009/10 season the East Stand was originally allocated to Northumbria University at a 50% discount, as part of our then partnership with the University.

Whilst the stand was entirely sold out for the current season, it has now become apparent that not all of the season ticket holders in the East Stand were connected with the University.

Therefore the club accepts that the advertised increase for East Stand season tickets for 2010/11 was too large, and wishes to apologise to East Stand season ticket holders for the confusion regarding pricing in this area.

The club is addressing the issue of East Stand season ticket pricing, and will make an announcement shortly regarding revised prices for 2010/11.

The issue of East Stand season ticket pricing was just one of a valuable number of questions raised at a fans' forum held at Kingston Park last week.

Club chairman Dave Thompson, director of rugby Steve Bates and commercial director Christine Balford spent over two-and-a-half hours taking open questions from the floor about matters both on and off the field.

Speaking after the event, Thompson said: "Our fans' forums are always really useful, because they give us a chance to answer the questions that really matter most to our supporters, in an open and honest fashion.

"We will look to repeat the exercise on a more regular basis, especially in light of the fact that many supporters did not receive advanced notice of last week's event due to postage issues.

"The evening certainly threw up some issues which we will discuss internally and act upon, and I would like to thank those supporters who took the time to attend and to ask questions.

"I hope that we managed to convey our passion and commitment not only to Newcastle Falcons, but to our supporters, who ultimately are the most important people in the club.

"I would also like to thank everyone for the constructive criticism which now allows us to go and revisit certain areas of what we do here, because at the end of the day we all share the same ambitions in terms of making Newcastle Falcons a team that the whole region can be proud of."
