The Falcons Development Team has announced two pre-season friendly fixtures, in the lead-up to the new Guinness A League campaign.

The Newcastle second-string kicks off the 2009/10 season at Druid Park with a home friendly against Scottish club Watsonians on Sunday August 23, with an afternoon kick-off (exact time TBC). Entry is free of charge to all supporters.

The Falcons Development Team then takes on Tynedale RFC in Corbridge on Saturday August 29, with an afternoon kick-off (exact time TBC).

The Falcons first team is in the process of finalising its two pre-season friendlies, which are expected to consist of an away game on Friday August 21, and a home match on Friday August 28, both against Magners League opposition. Details will be announced once confirmed.

In addition, the Falcons will also be sending a team to the Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham, which takes place on Saturday August 15.
