Andrew Fenby has joined Newcastle Falcons team-mates Gavin Beasley and Johnny Williams in the England Counties squad for their upcoming tour to North America.

The Blaydon winger made a huge impact for the Falcons Development XV with nine tries in just two games, as well as starring for the KooGa Wailers Sevens team alongside many of the Falcons' top young stars.

The 22-year-old Newcastle University Student comes into the 26-man squad as replacement for Cornwall's Matt Jess from Launceston, who has signed for Exeter and is needed by them for the start of their pre-season training programme on June 6.

Fenby finished the season with 21 tries from 23 games with Blaydon but first distinguished himself as a schoolboy international squash player, being ranked Welsh No 2 at Under 19 level while studying at Rydal Penrhos School in North Wales.
