Perpignan Make Five Changes

Perpignan have named their team for Sunday’s Heineken Cup pool match against Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park (kick-off 2.30pm).

England World Cup winner Dan Luger (pictured) starts on the left wing, while openside flanker Bernard Goutta once again captains the Catalans in a side showing five changes from that which defeated Edinburgh 23-0 at home last Friday.

South African Leon van den Heever comes in at fullback in place of Argentina’s Diego Giannantonio, while elsewhere in the back line Gavin Hume takes the place of Jean-Philippe Grandclaude at inside centre.

Up front the return of Gregory Le Corvec from injury sees him come in at blindside flanker, while Romania’s Ovidiu Tonita switches from there to No.8 at the expense of former All Black Scott Robertson.

In the second row, Christophe Porcu takes the place of Colin Gaston, while centre Christophe Manas is added to a bench which includes former Ireland international Mick O’Driscoll.

  • Tickets are still available for Sunday’s game by calling the ticket hotline on 0871 226 60 60, or by coming to the Kingston Park ticket office in person.
