A heat wave is upon us and a swarm of Wasps are flying into town for Sunday's Aviva Premiership clash with Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park.
The Falcons take on London Wasps this weekend, with Sunday rugby making a welcome return to the North East. New recruits Jamie Helleur and Ryan Shortland are back from injury and will lock horns with the likes of Rikki Flutey, Tom Varndell and Christian Wade.
As well as top-class rugby, there will be plenty of other entertainment at Kingston Park throughout the day.
The Falcons Cup is being held before the game for the under-11 age group with 15 teams entered from grassroots rugby clubs from across the North East and Cumbria with the final being staged on the main pitch at half-time of the Falcons game.
Falcons stalwart Micky Ward has taken over Andy Perry’s duties and will be interviewing Falcons players in the West Stand Concourse Bar before the game.
At half-time we will also be running the first of this season’s Benfield Half-Time Kicking Challenge with the chance to win a signed Falcons shirt and a free service from Benfield.
Following the game the entertainment will continue in the West Stand Concourse Bar with live music from local band Get Over It and Doddie Weir will host the Man of the Match presentations.
The response to the Sunday Lunch corporate hospitality offer at only £50 (inc VAT) has been fantastic which will ensure a great atmosphere in Due Dieci Restaurant before and after the game.
