Community Foundation Shortlisted For North East Business Awards – Heart Of The Community Award

Wednesday 27 February 13

Companies’ success in the NE business awards, organised by The Journal and its Teesside sister paper the Evening Gazette, in association with North East Chamber of Commerce, amply demonstrates the strength of the North East economy despite the economic climate.

There are 90 finalists in 10 award categories, covering a wide range of sectors and including the smallest start-ups and some of the biggest industrial names in the North East.

The Falcons Community Foundation is the charitable arm of the Newcastle Falcons. We aim to motivate, educate and inspire via the power of sport and visibly return value to communities through our winning team both on and off the pitch.

The Newcastle falcons community foundation were shortlisted for their extensive work within the north east region both in community development sport projects and working within schools.

The winners will be announced at black tie dinners in top venues across the region.

The competition has heats to find the foremost businesses from the three sub-regions of the North East, with prizes going to finalists in each category for Tyneside and Northumberland, Durham and Wearside, and Teesside, before the regional grand finale that will reveal the best of the best.

The awards take place on 21st March so watch this space for the result!
