Golden Gate Spur in The Metro Centre, Gateshead, Newcastle will be playing host to the Spur Steak Challenge on Saturday, 31 March 2012.

The Falcons Rugby team will go head-to-head and compete for the title of Spur Steak Challenge master. The title will be given to the Falcons Rugby player who devours a 64oz Prime Rump Steak in the fastest time. Golden Gate Spur will also be donating ₤200 to the North Tyneside-based Pathways 4 All, in memory of Tim Lamb from MetroFM who recently passed away.

Falcons Rugby fans are welcome to join in the fun, root for their favourite player and upload their fan pics on Spur’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/ U.K.Spur. There is also a lucky draw whereby you can enter to win a Falcons Rugby jersey—all you need to do is be there, both to enter and receive the prize if you win.

You can also challenge your appetite by enjoying meals like a 14oz Spur T-bone; a lip-smacking rack of tender Spur Ribs; a Spur Classic Burger or whichever Spur meal you’re most fanatical about.
