Largest Festival Of The Season Last Weekend At Kingston Park

Monday 14 January 13

The teams battled the weather to play a rousing four hours of rugby.

We would like to thank all participants of our Falcon’s Cup U9 and U10 festival which took place on Saturday 12th January. The under 9’s teams in attendance were: Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Ponteland, Northern, Carlisle, Barnard Castle, Hartlepool, Novos, Billingham, Westoe, Alnwick, Morpeth and Whitley Bay Rockcliff. The Under 10’s teams were Middlesbrough, Morpeth, Carlisle, Novos, Barnard Castle RUFC, Northern, Sunderland, Guisborough, Ponteland, Westoe, Whitley Bay Rockcliff, Alnwick Percy Park and Bishop Auckland.

The Falcons Cup is designed to promote participation by all and develop youth talent across the region.

A fantastic celebration game was played at half time on the main pitch between Northern and Morpeth of the Under 9’s age range and Northern against Bishop Auckland of the Under 10’s. We hope all teams had a great day, despite a little snow flurry, and enjoyed watching the Falcons pull off another victory against Connacht!
