Murray joined the Falcons in December 2010 from fellow Aviva Premiership club, Northampton Saints.

The 30-year-old British and Irish Lions tourist moves to the north-east with a rich pedigree in international rugby.

Scottish International Murray made his Falcons debut in the 19-19 draw against Sale Sharks, at Kingston Park.

Adding vital experience to the Falcons pack, Murray played 11 times during the season run-in.
