Patrick has graduated from the University of Tuebingen (Germany) in 1998 and came across to the UK in 1999. He has completed postgraduate medical training in the North East and currently works as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine. Patrick has worked in elite sport since 2003 and has obtained a Masters in Sports & Exercise Medicine from the University of Bath in 2010. His previous positions included Team Physician for various RFL England representative teams (Knights, Academy and Schools) and he was appointed Head Physician for the RFL England Women Performance Programme during the Rugby League World Cup in Australia in 2008. Prior to joining the Falcons in October 2010 Patrick was the Club Doctor for Gateshead Thunder RLFC during the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
