The mouth-watering clash with the West Countrymen takes place on Friday 6 September (kick-off 7.45pm) and signals the return of former Falcons coaching duo Gary Gold and Mike Ford.

Dean Richards’ men then travel to the Salford City Stadium for a date with Sale Sharks on Friday 13 September (kick-off 7.45pm) before locking horns with Aviva Premiership champions Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on Saturday 21 September (kick-off 3pm).

Sunday rugby starts with a bang at Kingston Park on 29 September with Gloucester Rugby the visitors to the North East.

Richards comes up against his former club Harlequins on Sunday 1 December at Kingston Park (kick-off 3pm), a game which the North East and Cumbria following will no doubt relish.

The festive period sees the Falcons welcome Dai Young’s London Wasps side on Friday 27 December (kick-off TBC), with the northeasterners then beginning 2014 at home to Sale on 3 January (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Kingston Park club play host to back-to-back Sunday matches on 23 February and 2 March with Premiership finalists Northampton Saints and Leicester making the trip north.

Exeter Chiefs lie in wait for the Falcons on the final day of the season on Saturday 10 May (kick-off 3pm). Click here to view the 2013-14 fixture list.

Falcons director of rugby Richards was present at the official fixture launch held at BT Tower in London this morning alongside fellow bosses Conor O’Shea, Gary Gold and Dai Young.

We will have full reaction with Richards shortly.
