2019/20 Season Ticket Membership FAQ

Thursday 14 February 2019 Written by: Adam

With season ticket memberships for the 2019/20 season now on sale, the club has prepared a list of answers to some of the most frequent questions asked by our fanbase.

**Why should I become a season ticket member?**
A season ticket membership guarantees your place at Kingston Park for Newcastle Falcons’ home games and the best seats available for any matches moved away from the ground. With seats selling out more and more frequently, it guarantees that you won’t miss any game.

**Which matches does a season ticket membership cover?**
It includes 16 matches across league and cup competitions and a free pre-season friendly. If the Falcons progress to the knock-out stages of any competition and secure a home tie, then season ticket holders get priority booking and discounts over other non-member ticket purchasers.

**How can I book my season ticket membership?**
This can be done [on-line][1], by ringing the ticket office on 0871 226 6060 or by calling in at the ground 09.00-17.00 on Monday to Friday and 10.00-16.00 on Saturdays.

**I purchased a three-year season ticket membership last year, do I need to do anything?**
No, your season ticket membership has already been populated onto the club’s ticketing system and your new card and welcome pack will be with you later in the summer.

**Will current season ticket members be contacted?**
Season ticket renewal packs will be with all current members in the next week. Three-year season ticket holders will not receive these packs.

**How are the percentage savings worked out?**
The discounts shown on each type of season are against the full match-day prices for the 16 indicated above. Games are classified across three different price levels – category A*, category A and category B, and the season ticket price is a combination of the different categories.

**What are the benefits of the new three-year memberships?**
The three-year memberships allow you to fix what you pay for the next three years. This membership does require full payment at the time of booking.

**If the North Stand is developed in the next three years and I purchase a three-year membership, will the price change?**
Whilst match-day prices over the next three years will be subject to changes, any members who purchase the three-year option will have secured their place till 2022 at the stated prices. For those in the North Stand this will mean a standing ticket and use of any new concourse facilities once they are completed.

**What happens if I can’t make games?**
The ticket exchange programme will once again be running next season. If you know you can’t make a particular match and ring the ticket office ahead of the game date, then you will receive an additional ticket to a similar category game. Tickets are always subject to availability but it is our belief that if you pay for 16 tickets then you should get 16 tickets, even if you can’t make the occasional game.

**What are the other benefits of a season ticket membership?**
As well as discounts on match-day ticket prices and priority booking on other events, season ticket members receive other exclusive benefits. Seasonal parking passes are available exclusively to season ticket members as well as the Tight Five discount tickets. Access to the England international ticket ballot, an exclusive pre-season event plus discounts in the club shop are also part of the package.

**What discounts do members get in the club shop?**
All season ticket members will receive 10% discount in the club shop from 1 August 2019, through to 30 June 2020. Please note on occasion certain already-discounted items may be excluded from this offer, but they will be clearly indicated.

**Are the free under-11s season tickets still available?**
Yes, any supporter aged 10 or under on August 31st 2019 can qualify for a free junior season ticket in the North or South stand, as long as it is purchased with a full adult season ticket membership. Proof of age will be required for all juniors.

Whilst free tickets will not be available in the East or West Stand in season 2019/20, seats in category D will be available at £20 per junior, allowing young supporters who wish to sit the opportunity to enjoy matches for the equivalent of just £1.25 per game.

As in previous years, registered junior members of club connections grassroots clubs can take advantage of this offer up to 15 years of age.

**What happens after the Early Bird date of 1 March?**
The prices on all season ticket memberships (including the new three-year option) rise after this date. Whilst still offering a discount on match-day prices, the greatest savings can only be made by purchasing on or before the 1 March 2019.

Any seats that are not renewed by season ticket members by Friday 1 March will also go on general sale. Whilst existing members can purchase after this date it does mean their current seat cannot be guaranteed, and they would pay a slightly higher price.

**Are Early Bird prices only available only to existing season ticket members?**
No. Anyone who purchases a season ticket by 1 March can benefit from early bird price savings, whether a new or existing member.

**Who qualifies as a concession for season ticket membership?**
Concessions are those supporters who aged 65 or over on 1 September 2019 or are in full-time education. Proof of concession status will be required at the time of purchase, however, those members who have previously provided proof of being aged over 65 will not be required to do this.

**When are season ticket memberships sent out?**
Once you’ve renewed you will receive your membership card plus details of all other benefits by early August and in advance of the pre-season friendly for which you will use your card to gain entry.

**What happens if the Falcons are relegated from the Gallagher Premiership?**
With a possible 50 points still to play for, the club remains confident of playing top-flight rugby in season 2019/20. However, should results not go the Falcons way, season ticket holders will be communicated with regarding any changes that arise in the RFU Championship.

**If I’m unsure of anything else relating to season ticket membership, how do I find out more?**
Ring the ticket office on 0871 226 6060 and they will be happy to answer your query or email fans@newcastle-falcons.co.uk .
