All aboard for London Irish coach travel
Newcastle Falcons are looking to harness the support of members of the Club Connections programme for the Aviva Premiership game against London Irish, in their quest to create a wall of noise in support of the team.
To help pack out the stands and give the team more vocal backing the club has teamed up with Otterburn based coach hire firm Howard Snaith, making 10 coaches available to groups from Club Connections clubs free of charge.
The coaches are available to the first 10 member clubs who commit to bringing a group of 50 or more members, with a minimum of 20 adults, to the game on Sunday April 17 (kick-off 3pm).
The coaches will transport groups to and from their respective grounds to Kingston Park, and all clubs who purchase 50 or more tickets will be entered into a draw to win a full set of Newcastle Falcons playing shirts.
With Club Connections ticket prices valid in the usual areas for all groups of 15 or more, it is hoped that the local rugby community will take advantage and show the strength of the game in the North East.
Club Connections programme manager Andrew Matson said: “Club Connections members have played a big part in helping grow attendances at Kingston Park since the programme began, and we are grateful for all the support they have given to the team.
“We’re now calling on them to help us create the wall of noise we need in what is an important game, and hope that by laying on coaches for free we will have an even bigger than usual number of rugby clubs in the stands on April 17.”
