Another successful Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup

Tuesday 15 March 2022 Written by: Adam

Ahead of the Falcons’ game against Saracens on Saturday, the ever-popular Newcastle Falcons Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup returned to Kingston Park, allowing young aspiring rugby players to compete against other teams from across the region.

The competition was a fantastic spectacle, with over 800 players participating in the Land Rover Cup from 65 teams from across Northumberland, Durham, Yorkshire, Cumbria, and Scotland.

After 1,760 minutes of play, Novocastrians Rugby Club (pictured) were crowned Under-12s winners, and Tynedale RFC Under-11s were the winners of the Land Rover Premiership Cup.

Falcons Community would like to say a big thank you to everyone who participated, spectated and helped make the day so special.

Each participant received a free ticket to cheer on Newcastle Falcons as they took on Saracens, and helped add to the great atmosphere at Kingston Park.

Land Rover has been supporting grassroots rugby in the UK for nearly two decades, through the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup.
