Aspers Casino confirmed as Falcons Legends shirt sponsor
The Falcons Community Foundation and Aspers Casino Newcastle have confirmed that the city centre venue will sponsor the Falcons Legends shirt at the October 2nd charity match at Kingston Park.
The casino, which is one of four Aspers establishments in the UK will see its branding on the front of the shirts worn by the Newcastle Falcons legends for the game, which will see them face a Southern Hemisphere legends side, on the eve of the first Rugby World Cup match at St James’ Park.
As part of the partnership, Asper’s Newcastle will be hosting events on Thursday 1st October and post match on Friday 2nd October in Aspers Sports Bar, giving supporters the opportunity to meet their favourite legends.
Due to limited capacity at the Sports Bar, admission to the free event will be on a first come first served basis.
Falcons Community Foundation’s Andy Buist said: “We are looking forward to these events. Aspers support for the Legends will enable many of our fans to spend a bit more time with the players. We only have a small window of when the players are up here, so to be able to offer the chance to catch up with some of the former Falcons and Southern Hemisphere players is a great added opportunity.”
The Falcons have worked tirelessly over the last year to assemble two teams packed with well know faces from the sports past, with former Falcons Matt Burke, Jamie Noon and Tom May joining Southern Hemisphere stars Terry Fanolua, Andre Snyman and Stefan Treblanche among a host of fan favourites already confirmed as playing.
Tickets for the match are still available, helping raise valuable funds for the Falcons Community Foundation and Durham Wooden Spoon Foundation.
