Newcastle Falcons were pleased to welcome Barclays to their Kingston Park Stadium to host an employ-ability and CV writing session with those Apprentices approaching the end of their Level 2 Training.

Andrew Smith and six colleagues from Barclays ran sessions designed to give one-to-one coaching to the Apprentices to enable them to maximise their CV writing and understand key employability skills.

David Dawson, tutor to the School Sports Apprentices, said: “These sessions are vital for the young people taking part in the Apprenticeship. The training they receive in schools prepares them for the realities of having a job but this workshop will provide them with the skills to interview and portray themselves successfully to secure employment.

“CV writing and employ-ability skills will carry them through the rest of their working life, and having a professional body like Barclays provide the advice is invaluable.”

As sponsors of the national Hitz project, Barclays plc have close ties to Premiership Rugby and are great supporters of the Newcastle Falcons Community Foundation.
