Newcastle Falcons prop Eduardo Bello scored a try for Argentina in Saturday’s home win over France.

The prop-forward powered over from close range in Los Pumas’ 33-25 victory in Buenos Aires as they tied their two-match series against Les Bleus.

Bello, who was winning his 23rd cap for his country, was also at the heart of an advancing Argentina scrum which earned them a first-half penalty try.

Club-mate Pedro Rubiolo came on for the final half-hour of the test at Velez Sarsfield Stadium, with the back rower winning his 11th Pumas cap.

Rubiolo has been out since January after dislocating his shoulder during Newcastle Falcons’ EPCR Challenge Cup victory away to Perpignan.

Argentina are next in action on Saturday when they travel to take on neighbours Uruguay in Maldonaldo.

The 8pm UK time kick-off is live on Sky Sports.
