Cast your vote for October’s player of the month
Another chance has come for the fans to have their say in who is named Gallagher Premiership Rugby Player of the Month for October.
It has been a record-breaking opening six rounds of Gallagher Premiership Rugby action already, with 226 tries having been scored, beating last season’s best of 218, as well as 1,905 points being tallied up – another record, beating the previous best of 1,899 in the 1998-99 campaign.
The last two rounds of action saw star names for each of the 12 clubs stand out, with a final shortlist of ten being named:
– Dave Ewers – Exeter Chiefs
– George Ford – Leicester Tigers
– Alex Goode – Saracens
– **Joel Hodgson – Newcastle Falcons**
– Maro Itoje – Saracens
– Matt Kvesic – Exeter Chiefs
– Ryan Mills – Worcester Warriors
– **Sinoti Sinoti – Newcastle Falcons**
– Henry Slade – Exeter Chiefs
– **Mark Wilson – Newcastle Falcons**
It is becoming harder than ever to pick one star performer each month, which is why we have opened the voting to the public on the official Premiership Rugby app.
The usual panel of nine judges remain – Nick Mullins (BT Sport), Alastair Eykyn (BT Sport), Mick Cleary (The Daily Telegraph), Sarah Mockford (Rugby World), Jonny Fordham (The Sun), Robert Kitson (The Guardian), Chris Jones (BBC 5 Live), David Rogers (Getty Images) and Tom Hamilton (ESPN) with Premiership Rugby Communications Director Paul Morgan acting as chair – but this season the public will act as a tenth judge.
Your vote and those from the other nine judges will then be tallied to reveal the winner each month.
