Club Connections: Falcons Community Champion of the Month
Falcons Community is delighted to announce their Champion of the Month is John Stafford from Morpeth RFC. John has been recognised for his years of dedication to Morpeth Rugby Club, being heavily involved for around 35 years. Firstly, as a strong, aggressive 2nd row and since hanging up the boots, becoming the go-to individual at Morpeth.
John has been involved on many of Morpeth RFC committees, from Director of Rugby, event organizer, kit supplier, discipline assistant, and general Mr Morpeth.
John has also been nominated for his great influence at the club, and for always being available to give advice, support contact number for a fixture, or just a story about any club in the North of England, Scotland, Ireland and Western Europe.
Morpeth RFC Club Connections Ambassador, Stephen Parsons, stated: “John has been the beating heart of Morpeth Rugby Club for many years and much of the club’s success at all levels.”
Morpeth RFC is an active member of our Club Connection programme, in particular, their involvement in our match day festivals, and helping add to the special atmosphere at Kingston Park. Our Club Connections programme aims to help make community clubs stronger, on and off the pitch. The programme is sponsored by FFB, who are committed to helping sports clubs become more energy efficient through a range of costs and carbon savings. These savings can create a new recurring revenue stream, boosting the longevity of grassroots sports for the next generation and beyond.
