Club Connections: Falcons Community Champion of the Month
Falcons Community is delighted to announce their Champion of the Month is Richard Goodman from **[Upper Eden RFC][1]**. Richard is a dedicated volunteer in the Club and works tirelessly behind the scenes within their club’s Youth section. Richard epitomizes the core values of the game and is a great ambassador. All his efforts are greatly appreciated by Upper Eden RFC.
Upper Eden RFC are active members of Falcons Community’s Club Connection programme, attending key match day festivals at Kingston Park Stadium and helping host the Foundation’s Cumbrian coaching camps over the years. The Club Connections programme is designed to help make the community clubs stronger, on and off the pitch.
The programme is sponsored by **[Fusion for Business][2]**, committed to helping sports clubs become more energy efficient through a range of cost and carbon savings. Their Community Ambassador Programme equips clubs with everyone they need to create a new recurring revenue stream – boosting the longevity of grassroots sports for our next generations and beyond.
Fusion for Business recently worked with Upper Eden RFC. Upper Eden RFC did not feel confident in their energy contracts previously put in place and were looking for advice.
Following a quick and easy chat between FFB and Upper Eden, they completed a bill review and offered their TODAY solution to Upper Eden of which had considerable savings. FFB has now successfully locked their Gas & Electric prices until 2026.
Upper Eden have also signed to FFB Community Ambassador Programme in which they can refer businesses within their network to FFB. This will help the club receive cashback to reinvest back into the club.
Overall, Upper Eden RFC have saved their club a huge £21,249 over the course of their contract, with £7083 worth of savings per year.
