Crabbie’s backs Newcastle Festival of Rugby

Crabbie’s are continuing as an official partner and official alcoholic ginger beer supplier of Newcastle Falcons next season, with their logo remaining on the first team’s shorts.

In addition they will now be supporting the Newcastle Festival of Rugby, a day-long sevens showcase which sees four tournaments taking place – men’s open, men’s social, women’s competition and veterans’ 10s.

Michelle Chadwick, brand manager, said: “It has been a brilliant season of rugby for the Falcons and we’re looking forward to watching the team progress further as our relationship continues.

“We’re very excited for the summer of rugby ahead and as the official partner of Newcastle Falcons, Crabbie’s will be right at the heart of it. We’ll be cheering on both the men’s and women’s games across the festival. We can’t wait for kick-off!”

Full of fast-paced rugby action with prize giveaways and further entertainment, the men’s open event and women’s competition at the Newcastle Festival of Rugby are also part of the national 24/Sevens.

The 24/Sevens is a community series which aims to continue to grow sevens rugby and increase participation among men and women, with over 6,000 people taking part last year. The competition will culminate in a showpiece national final event hosted by England Rugby at The Recreation Ground in Bath on the July 29.
