Don’t Miss The North East Oyster Festival
There are now less than seven weeks to go until the North East Oyster Festival arrives at the city’s Rugby World Cup Fanzone.
Now in its twelfth year, the Oyster Festival offers a day of fine dining and top quality entertainment, alongside the opportunity to raise money for charity while networking with some of the biggest names in North East business.
Usually held in Durham, September will be the first time the Oyster Festival has gone on tour when it arrives at a specially erected marquee in Newcastle’s Rugby World Cup Fanzone, hosted by Newcastle Falcons and Ramside Events.
Hosted by The Pub Landlord, comedian Al Murray, the event on 25th September will also include Motown act Martha Reeds and the Vandellas, before Celtic music takes centre stage.
The Dublin Raiders, the JJ Galway Bank and the world’s leading bagpipers Red Hot Chilli Pipers will all take to the stage, ensuring top class entertainment for the whole day.
Elsewhere the event offers ample opportunities to network and socialise, through a champagne reception, oyster stalls and a three course fruit de mer dinner, prepared by Ramside Event Catering’s expert chefs. Meanwhile, participants can also enjoy complimentary lager, beer and wine throughout the day.
Representatives from Marie Curie will also be at the Oyster Festival, carrying out a number of activities to help raise funds for the work they do.
The North East Oyster Festival runs from 11.30am until 6pm on Friday 25th September. Tickets cost £150 (plus vat) and are available by calling 01740 620253. Visit [www.theoysterfestival.co.uk][1] for more information.
