Newcastle Falcons’ Gallagher Premiership opener away at Bath on Saturday October 14 will kick off an hour earlier at the revised time of 2pm.

The Recreation Ground clash has been moved at the request of the home club to allow supporters the opportunity to watch the Rugby World Cup quarter-final, which kicks off at 4pm.

The Falcons are next in action this Friday night when they host Sale Sharks in the Premiership Rugby Cup.

Newcastle are looking to maintain their flying start to the competition, having taken the maximum 10 points from their two games against Ampthill and Bedford.

Tickets for Friday’s game are priced just £15 for adults and £7 for under-18s in all areas of the stadium.
