European Challenge Cup fixtures announced
The 3pm kick-off is the first of six European ties, the Falcons having also been pooled with Russian side Enisei-STM and French outfit Bordeaux-Bègles.
Newcastle travel to Bordeaux’s Stade Chaban-Delmas for their second game on Saturday October 21 in a 6.30pm French time kick-off (5.30pm UK time).
They then host the same team at Kingston Park on Saturday December 9, with the 3.15pm kick-off being shown live on BT Sport.
Round four sees the Falcons travelling to Wales to meet Dragons on Friday December 15 in a 7.30pm kick-off at Rodney Parade, while the exact dates and times of rounds five and six will not be confirmed until after round four.
Round five will see Newcastle at home to Enisei on the weekend of January 11/12/13/14, with the away leg on the weekend of January 18/19/20/21 (venue TBC).
As in previous seasons, the top team in each of the five pools will go throuugh to the quarter-finals, where they will be joined by the three best runners-up.
