European round 5 and 6 fixtures confirmed
Currently sitting at second place in pool three of the European Rugby Challenge Cup, Newcastle Falcons are pleased to confirm details of the round five and six fixtures which the club hopes will see them progress to the next stage of the competition.
Round six of this season’s European Rugby competition will see the Falcons welcome Newport Gwent Dragons to Kingston Park on Saturday 17th January (ko 3.15pm) as the two clubs vie for the top spot in their pool.
Round two of the competition saw the Falcons beat Newport 30-26 at Rodney Parade but a strong showing from the Welshmen in subsequent rounds has seen them rise to the top of pool three.
With the Falcons only one point behind, the English side will be looking to pick up a second victory as the Dragons head to Newcastle.
The Falcons will then play their final fixture of the group stage in the Romanian city of Cluj as they take on Bucharest Wolves away from home at 5pm (local time) on Saturday 24th January.
The round one fixture between these two sides saw Newcastle triumph 43-19 at Kingston Park, but with Bucharest having put in a strong performance at home to Stade Francais their will be no room for complacency when the Falcons travel to Romania.
The potential pool deciding match against Newport will form part of the Falcons 2014-15 Season Ticket and Half Season Ticket package, although individual match tickets for the game are also available from only £15 for adults and £7.50 for juniors. Click [here][1] to get yours.
Both games will be televised, with the Newport game shown by BT Sport and the Bucharest game screened live on Romanian channel DigiSport.
