European Rugby to return to Kingston Park
Newcastle Falcons kick off their European Rugby Challenge Cup campaign next weekend when Bucharest Wolves travel to Kingston Park on Friday Oct 17th k/o 8.00pm.
The Romanian side secured their place in pool 3 by defeating Calvisano in a two legged play off in September and will face the Falcons for the second season in a row in European Competition.
Ahead of the fixture, the club would like to make supporters aware of a number of changes to the normal match day experience. The North Stand will be closed on the evening. Supporters who hold tickets for this stand should instead enter the stadium via the South Stand turnstile and stand either in the South Stand or alongside the pitch in the South East terrace.
In addition, there will be no match day programme against Bucharest, however team sheets will be readily available at the turnstiles, the stadium bars and the main ticket office.
The other change is that there will be no big screen available. The screen content depends on a feed from the multiple cameras that are provided by Premiership Rugby for the Television Match Official. These are not provided in Europe and as the game isn’t televised operating the big screen is not possible.
