EXPANDED CLUB SHOP OPEN THIS MATCHDAY
The Bootroom is within the newly extended shop and is a dedicated area with boots, protective wear, gum shields and has a range of other rugby accessories in stock.
Added to the extensive array of Falcons replica kit, leisure wear and accessories, the new line of Gilbert products being carried by the club shop is intended to make the Kingston Park outlet a one stop shop for people’s rugby needs.
Retail Manager Clare Short said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer a whole new range of products for rugby players at the Kingston Park shop and hope our supporters who also play the sport can find all they need.”
“It is sometimes difficult to pick up specialist rugby kit and equipment at sports chains. The Falcons Club Shop can offer expert advice on the right rugby products for all players.”
Meanwhile, the club has also received an update from its kit partner Gilbert with regards to the delayed arrival of the 2014/2015 replica shirts.
Due to factors beyond the club’s control, these will regrettably not be in stock for the first home game of the season and are now expected in two phases.
There will be a limited delivery at the end of September which will be used to fulfil existing pre orders plus any additional pre-orders completed over the next seven days. There will then be a more substantial delivery in mid-October for sale in the shop.
Whilst the delay will undoubtedly be a disappointment to supporters who have already ordered their new shirts, the club will be offering all supporters who have already placed their order a goodwill gesture. Those supporters, plus anyone who places a replica shirt order by kick off at the Northampton Saints match, will receive a £10 gift voucher to spend in the club shop against Gilbert product.
Newcastle Falcons Managing Director Mick Hogan said: “Can we apologise to all supporters for the delay in the replica shirt delivery. With three outstanding designs we have understandably received a lot of enquiries on how to purchase replica shirts. It is frustrating to not be able to fulfil these enquiries but we expect to be in a position to do so very soon.
We hope the £10 vouchers will go some way to compensate those who have already ordered and hopefully persuade others to do so before next Sunday.”
