Falcon Young in Championship Dream Team
Young has spent much of the season with Championship semi-finalists Doncaster Knights, having also played in last season’s Championship final for the Castle Park club.
Newcastle Falcons academy manager and first team skills coach Mark Laycock said: “Selection in the Dream Team is great recognition for Glen’s efforts during his time with Doncaster.
“He has done well to get into their team and set such high standards on a consistent basis, and he is a great example of how the dual-registration system can benefit both parties.”
Fellow Dream Team forward Burrows joins the Falcons in the summer from Yorkshire Carnegie, the club he is currently captaining in the Championship semi-finals.
The No 8 has also been shortlisted for Championship player of the season, and will link up with the Falcons squad following his commitments with Carnegie.
Another of Newcastle’s summer signings, Richmond’s Sam Stuart, was a close contender for scrum-half in the Championship Dream Team, which can be viewed by [**clicking here**.][1]
