Falcons A team to face Durham University
Newcastle Falcons development team are in action this evening as a youthful side take on Durham University in a friendly at Kingston Park (kick off 19:30)
Featuring a number of players who have featured for the first team throughout this season as well as several players from the Junior Academy, the match will give a number of players the opportunity for game time in a Falcons shirt as the season heads into its final third.
Centre Tom Penny will provide a wise head in an exciting back line which sees local players Peter Weightman (Northumbria Uni and Tynedale RFC) and Joe Nellany (Leeds Uni and Darlington Mowden Park RFC) alongside James Christie and Dan Marshall, whilst proceedings will be conducted by Andy Davies and Craig Willis at scrum and fly half respectively.
In the pack a total of six players who have played first team rugby feature, with a front row of Piers Goodwill (Newcastle Uni), David Nelson and Juan Pablo Orlandi, a second row pairing of Sean Robinson and Will Witty and a back row of Callum Chick, Dan Temm and Chris York.
On the replacements bench, Simon Uzokwe (Sunderland Uni and Darlington Mowden Park RFC) is joined by Jack Beckwith, Mark Irving, James Phillips (Newcastle Uni), Joe Crags, Dan Taylor, Brett Connon and Ben Stevenson.
Supporters wishing to attend the game are welcome with the East Stand open for supporters to sit in.
