FALCONS FACE FAMILIAR FOES IN LV= CUP
Cardiff Blues, London Irish, Northampton Saints and Sale Sharks lie in wait for Newcastle Falcons in the LV= Cup in the coming season, following the pool draw for the tournament.
The Falcons line up in Pool 3 alongside Leicester Tigers, London Wasps and Scarlets but, under a format designed to guarantee all competitors an equal number of home and away games, the Falcons will play matches against the teams in Pool 2.
Starting away from home, the Falcons will be looking to give the Saints a scare at Franklins Gardens over the Halloween weekend on Saturday November 1st, before taking on Cardiff Blues at Kingston Park on Friday 7th November (k/o 20:00).
In round three, near rivals Sale Sharks will be hosted on Sunday 1st February (k/o 15:00) before the group stages conclude away to London Irish over the weekend of February 6/7/8.
Should the Falcons top their group, the semi finals take place on the weekend of March 13/14/15 and if they finish as the best or second best pool winner, this round will be at home.
A yet to be confirmed venue holds the final on Sunday 22nd March.
The two LV= Cup pool games form part of the 2014/2015 Falcons season ticket package which also includes all 11 regular season Aviva Premiership matches and three group stage games in the European Rugby Challenge Cup.
