FALCONS FAN JOINS THE TEAM FOR 2014-15
A Newcastle Falcons fan enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity yesterday as he lined up alongside Falcons players for their official 2014-15 team photo.
Morgan Sparke, 9, won the experience after entering a competition on line via his dad Stephen’s Facebook account.
Enjoying exclusive access to the team media day along with parents Stephen and Alison, Morgan took a seat in the front row of the team photo alongside club captain Will Welch and received a round of applause from the full squad before gathering autographs from the whole squad and sitting down to lunch with players and coaches.
Newcastle Falcons Sales and Marketing Director Keith Christie said: “Morgan made a fantastic addition to the Falcons squad. It was great to welcome Morgan and his parents along to the ground to mark the start of the 2014-15 season.
“Over the coming season we’ll be running a number of other exclusive fan competitions over social media and the official Falcons mobile app and I’d encourage fans to get involved for the opportunity to win other one-off prizes.”
Newcastle Falcons play their first home fixture of the pre-season campaign against Rotherham Titans this Saturday, 23rd August at Kingston Park. With the game kicking off at 3pm the stadium will open at midday with bars screening the Newcastle United vs Aston Villa match from 12.45.
