Falcons launch new away shirt

Newcastle Falcons this morning launched their new away kit for 2015-16 ahead of its debut in the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s later on today. The predominantly white kit features a design of steel grey upper body and shoulders with electric blue and silver detailing.

The shirt features the logos of the club’s three Official Partners with Fairstone on the front upper shirt and shoulders, Bidvest Food Services on the right sleeve and Ward Hadaway Law Firm on the reverse of the shirt.

The match authentic player shirts and replicas both have the Gilbert Premium crew neck and while replica shirts match the player authentic shirts in design, they have a more relaxed fit and less elasticity in the material following fan feedback over the course of last season.

The away shorts and socks feature the same steel grey contrast with electric blue detailing. As well as the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s event today, this kit will also be the Falcons’ preferred choice in all European Challenge Cup games this season. The club will not launch a third/European strip this season, although a special charity shirt will be produced for the upcoming Legends game on 2nd October.

Replicas are available immediately either from the club shop or [online][1]. Replica prices are once again prices at £49.99 for adults and £39.99 for juniors. Match authentic shirts are £69.99 for adults and £59.99 for juniors.

Newcastle Falcons Season Ticket Members can get a 10% discount on all replica shirts purchased up to 31st October, although this is only available in person from the Kingston Park Stadium Club Shop. Although seasonal Membership cards will not arrive until 2nd September this discount can still be arranged prior to that date by supplying your name and address at the till.

The 2015/16 away kit is once again produced by the Falcons’ Official Kit Partner Gilbert Rugby. The club will also be launching a new all-black home shirt for the 2015/16 season, with details of this released next week prior to the international pre-season match vs Georgia on Friday 28th August at Kingston Park Stadium.

Speaking of the shirts, Falcons Managing Director Mick Hogan commented:

“We are delighted with the very modern and striking design that Gilbert have produced. The graded finish on the sleeves and the electric blue colour are both different but quality touches. Most importantly though the feedback we get from the players is very positive; they enjoy playing in the Gilbert kit as it is lightweight, a good cut and incredibly durable.

“We are really pleased with how all three Official Partners are presented on the kit and their support is a real boost to the club. The value of their combined investment means this season’s shirt delivers the highest sponsorship revenue by a Falcons kit for five years.

“At present the main front position of the shirt is clear although negotiations remain on-going with a number of prospective Principal Partners. Negotiations are targeted to be concluded by the start of the Premiership season on 16th October. However this space will not be activated unless the full partnership value is realised and there is a good synergy with any prospective partner; should this happen supporters will be able to get this additional logo applied to their shirt free of charge at the club shop.”
