Falcons named in U20s Final teams
Newcastle Falcons Callum Chick and Brett Connon have been named in the England and Ireland sides for Saturday’s World Rugby U20 Championship final at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Chick starts at number eight for England, a position he has filled in all but one of England’s game’s in the tournament, while Connon is included on the Ireland replacement bench in the number 22 shirt.
England come into the final looking to lift the trophy for a third time, having won the 2013 and 2014 tournaments, while Ireland will be aiming to be only the fourth nation to be crowned champions, and have their name engraved alongside that of their opponents, South Africa and New Zealand.
Saturday’s final is England’s seventh, a record within the competition, with Chick hoping to go a step further than club-mate Will Witty in the 2015 tournament and lift the trophy.
Kick-off is at 7pm, with the match broadcast live on Sky Sports 3.
