Falcons Offer Huge Boost To Local Charities
The Falcons are inviting local charities to apply for a number of tickets for the event which will be held at Kingston Park Stadium on Saturday 22nd August. These tickets will then be supplied completely free of charge with the charity then selling the tickets and retaining all the revenues. Alternatively the tickets could be used as incentives to raise funds or reward volunteers.
To apply for their tickets, charities should email charities@newcastle-falcons.co.uk before 5pm this Friday, 25th July, with two short paragraphs; the first stating who and what your charity is and the second explaining how you plan to utilise any tickets you receive.
Successful charities will then receive North Stand tickets (usually priced at £10 for adults and £5 for juniors) to the event to distribute as agreed in their application. In total up to 1,500 tickets will be made available for charities to bid into.
The event, which kicks off at 4.00pm, will see the Falcons take on Leicester Tigers, Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors in Group C of this season’s Singha Premiership Rugby Sevens series.
With the Falcons having won their round of the competition last year, they will be keen to defend the title and progress to the finals of the competition at Twickenham Stoop the following weekend.
On the day spectators will get to experience the fast paced action of professional sevens rugby with full match-day entertainment through-out, food and drink offers, big screen and live BT Sport coverage.
