Falcons on international duty
Scrum-half Sonatane Takulua captains Tonga for the first time on Friday when they take on the Barbarians in Limerick, Ireland. The 7.30pm kick-off is being streamed live on the Pundit Arena website.
Falcons centre Chris Harris looks set to make his Scotland debut after being named on their bench for Saturday’s 2.30pm kick-off against Samoa, the Murrayfield match being shown live on BBC TV and BT Sport.
Newcastle wing Vereniki Goneva is on Fiji’s bench for their 2pm kick-off against Italy in Catania, countryman Tevita Cavubati having been ruled out of the tour through injury.
The Falcons’ Canadian trio of Jake Ilnicki, DTH van der Merwe and Evan Olmstead, meanwhile, are all starting for their country as they take on Georgia on Saturday. Kick-off in Tbilisi is at 2pm UK time.
