Falcons Prepare For Premiership Return
Rugby World Cup may have left Newcastle, but this weekend sees the return of top flight rugby as the Aviva Premiership returns!
Kingston Park Stadium will host its first game of the season on Friday night when Newcastle Falcons face Gloucester rugby live in the North East.
Kicking off at 8pm on Friday, the game is likely to see a number of the Falcons’ new signings return to club action fresh from international duty as six of the Falcons’ nine World Cup stars head back to Kingston Park Stadium.
They will join new signings who have already made an impact on the Falcons’ first team including USA international Todd Clever, England international Mouritz Botha, former All Black Mike Delany and Prop Ben Harris.
And the team will be looking to get their 2015/16 league campaign off to a winning start, following on from two thrilling matches last term.
The home fixture in particular saw the Falcons emerge 20-10 victors in an electrifying match which also saw Falcons fans set a record for the world’s loudest ever club rugby crowd.
The two teams faced one another again in the dying weeks of the season, Newcastle Falcons travelling to Kingsholm and fighting hard in a nine-try extravaganza only to lose out to a final try in the last minutes of the game.
Friday’s match will see the Falcons keen to settle that score and build on the rugby fever which has taken the North East by storm over recent weeks.
Tickets for Friday’s game against Gloucester are on sale now, starting from £15 for adults and £7.50 for juniors. Buy yours now [online][1], in person from the Kingston Park Stadium Box Office or by calling the Falcons’ 24 hour Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060.
