As the 2024/25 season draws to a close, Newcastle Falcons are reflecting not just on the action on the pitch, but on the important work done off it in support of causes that matter to our community.

Throughout the campaign, the club was proud to welcome and support a number of charitable organisations, using our matchdays to help raise awareness, drive donations, and connect supporters with important local and national initiatives.

From dementia support and fostering services to military charities and inclusive sport, here’s how we came together with fans and partners across the season:

Alzheimer’s Society

Our official charity partner for 2024/25, Alzheimer’s Society was spotlighted at our home fixtures against Bristol Bears and Montpellier Rugby. Bucket collections took place around the ground, with fans giving generously in support of those affected by dementia.

Our special third shirt was also created for the season, with 10% of proceeds from every sale donated directly to the charity. Supporters can still contribute via the JustGiving page HERE.

Royal British Legion

The Doncaster Knights game saw our traditional tribute to the armed forces through a matchday partnership with the Royal British Legion. The team wore limited-edition poppy shirts, and over £4,000 was raised through post-match shirt auctions in support of the charity’s work with veterans and their families.

Military vs Cancer

At our clash with Sale Sharks, supporters showed their backing for Military vs Cancer with match-day bucket collections, helping to raise awareness of the Armed Forces Day double-header taking place at Kingston Park on Saturday June 21.

This powerful fixture supports those affected by cancer within the military community. Tickets are available for just £10 for adults and £5 for U18s and can be purchased HERE.

The Multibank

At our home fixture against Harlequins, supporters were invited to bring essential hygiene products to donation points around the stadium. All items collected were distributed through the Newcastle Food Bank network, creating hygiene packs for families and individuals in need across the region.

Ellington Colliery Band

Bringing festive spirit and a proud Northumberland tradition, Ellington Colliery Band performed at our Christmas fixture against Bath Rugby. They also carried out bucket collections on the day, helping to support the band’s work and preserve a proud community heritage.

Hadrian Cup & Newcastle Ravens

One of the UK’s largest LGBT+ sporting events, the Hadrian Cup was hosted at Kingston Park in March with 32 teams competing across rugby and touch rugby formats. We were delighted to welcome representatives from the tournament and Newcastle Ravens to the pitch at our Saints fixture to celebrate inclusive rugby and shine a light on the growing local scene.

Children & Families Newcastle

At our home fixture against Leicester Tigers, we welcomed the fostering team from Newcastle City Council. Located on the West Stand concourse, the team provided information about the fostering process, supported lodgings and the vital role carers play in young people’s lives across our city.

From raising funds to raising awareness, the Falcons remain proud to support causes that reflect the values of the club, the region and our supporters. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed throughout the season.
