Falcons search for Rugby World Cup Events Officer
Newcastle Falcons has today announced details of a new 12 month position which they are hoping to fulfill.
The Rugby World Cup Events Officer will work with Newcastle Falcons and Newcastle City Council to maximise the impact and legacy of the Rugby World Cup 2015 in the run up to, during and after, the tournament’s arrival in the city next year.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in the organisation and delivery of the Falcons Legends game next October as well as leading and supporting a number of other events that will form part of the ‘Festival of Rugby’ around the games to be held at St James’ Park.
Working with both the club and the City Council they will also work on events and projects throughout the city and liaise with various stakeholder groups to ensure maximum PR for the Falcons Community Foundation, City Council and all regional partners involved with Rugby World Cup.

The Rugby World Cup is the third largest sporting event in the world. Between 3rd – 10th October 2015, Newcastle upon Tyne will host three matches at St James Park. Tens of thousands of visitors will come to the region and join many more from the local population to enjoy the event.
