Falcons Season Tickets At Seven Year High
Following the culmination of the club’s Early Bird discount period at 5pm yesterday, Newcastle Falcons can reveal that Season Ticket Membership sales for 2015/16 so far are at a seven year high.
Having sold 11.1% more Season Tickets this year than at the end of last year’s Early Bird period, the club’s trend of rising crowds looks set to continue well into next season. This season Aviva Premiership attendances are already up over 25% compared to the 2013-14 campaign.
Speaking after the close of the Early Bird period, Newcastle Falcons Managing Director Mick Hogan said:
“It’s great to see so many fans getting on board with the club for next season. Week in week out this term we’ve been making improvements both on and off the field which are being noticed by the increasing number of supporters coming along to watch the Falcons at Kingston Park Stadium.
“Last year saw a big increase in early bird season ticket sales due to the access they gave to Rugby World Cup tickets. Our aim was to get within 10% of that number this year. To go more than 11% over last year is a significant indicator that the new Season Ticket Membership programme offers what supporters want from the club. The benefits from international ticket access to the exclusive events, discounts and season ticket holder bar are proving very popular.
“Everything starts on the field with the team. Whilst we are still 11th in the Aviva Premiership the difference in performance from last season to now is quite marked. We’ve had a number of thrilling games versus Saracens, Leicester and Sale Sharks and although all were losses they were exciting games that we could, and possibly should, have won. We aren’t far off now as our quarter final place in the European Challenge Cup shows. Next season we are confident we will be moving up the Premiership table in what will be a huge year for the sport with the Rugby World Cup.”
Although the Early Bird discount period is now over, Season Ticket Memberships for 2015/16 are still available to buy, starting from just £204 for adults and £168 for concessions, with two free Under 11 Season Tickets available with every adult or concession Season Ticket Membership purchased.
The club is also offering fans the opportunity to spread the cost of a Season Ticket Membership with the monthly payment scheme. For more information please click [here][1].
Season Ticket Memberships for 2015/16 can be purchased now online, in person from the Kingston Park Stadium Box Office or by calling the club’s 24 hour Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060.
