FALCONS STALWART PASSES AWAY
John was a life-long member and vice president of Gosforth RFC as well as being a long serving member of the Northumberland Referees Society.
An active referee for many years, John has acted as the referee liaison officer at Newcastle Falcons since the game turned professional in 1995.
Newcastle Falcons team manager John Stokoe said: “I have known John for many years, on both a personal and professional level. John was a fantastic servant to the club, working as a volunteer he did everything for the love of the club and rugby in general. He will be sorely missed.”
