Falcons take to the road for Player Blitz
Newcastle Falcons players will undertake the clubs most intensive day of community visits on Sunday, as the 2016 Player Blitz sees 38 players visit 20 different clubs across the region.
Part of the Falcons Community Foundation’s Club Connections programme, which is designed to foster closer relations between the Aviva Premiership club and the region’s grassroots community, the Blitz Is the first event of the season that takes members of the squad out to these clubs.
Among the visits taking place on Sunday; Michael Young and Joel Hodgson will head to West Hartlepool and work with the club’s mini section, Nili Latu and Tom Penny will visit Percy Park, while Brett Connon and Josh Chisanga take to Cumbria for a visit to Upper Eden RFC.
With over 30 clubs part of the programme, Club Connections sees members entitled to a range of exclusive opportunities in recognition of their efforts in helping the Falcons spread the word of Aviva Premiership Rugby.
These include player visit to the clubs in addition to the Blitz, four tickets and signed Falcons items to use in raffles and auctions each season, a minimum of three club development nights and priority booking on festivals at Kingston Park.
