Falcons to host Doncaster Knights
The Kingston Park Stadium clash will be a 3pm kick-off, with free entry for season ticket members booking their package before August 31.
Ticketing arrangements for non-season ticket members will be announced in due course, with the Falcons tuning up for their Gallagher Premiership opener at home to champions Harlequins on Sunday September 19.
Director of rugby Dean Richards said: “Doncaster have provided us with some very useful pre-season work-outs for a number of years now, and both clubs should hopefully get plenty out of the fixture.
“We’ve had players on loan or dual-registration with Doncaster on a consistent basis over the last few seasons, because we know it’s a good environment for them.
“The Doncaster game is also great opportunity for us to play in front of our home supporters, and the boys are currently working hard in pre-season with the aim of hitting the ground running when the Premiership gets underway.”
The announcement of the Doncaster game completes Newcastle Falcons’ pre-season programme, with the following dates now confirmed.
**Fri Sep 3:** v Glasgow Warriors (Scotstoun Stadium, 7pm).
**Sat Sep 4:** v Doncaster Knights (Kingston Park Stadium, 3pm)
**Sat Sep 11:** v Edinburgh (Edinburgh Rugby Stadium, 3pm)
