FALCONS TO HOST FAMILY FUN DAY

Friday 30 May 2014 Written by: Adam

Taking place in the grounds of the stadium, the fun day will provide a host of activities, including rugby drills and games ran by the award winning Falcons Community Foundation.

With approximately 5000 cyclists taking part in the various challenge routes, the fun day provides their families and supporters with an opportunity to enjoy a relaxed Saturday afternoon whilst the rides are underway.

Food kiosks at the ground will be open to provide refreshments, while the Falcons Club Shop will also be on site with the new Falcons 2014-15 home shirt available to pre-order.

More activities and attractions are due to be added in the coming weeks so be sure to keep an eye out for further details.

The Virgin Money Cyclone Challenge rides are now recognised as one of the premier cycling events in the UK where non-competitive cyclists can test their fitness and set themselves a personal challenge.

The three challenge routes also form part of the route to be used on the Sunday by the very top riders in the country when they compete in the Beaumont Trophy UCI 1.2 Road Race.

Those wishing to attend are advised to use public transport to travel to Kingston Park so they can enjoy the full range of activities and avoid the increased traffic expected with the Virgin Money Cyclone participants around the stadium on the day.

There are still plenty of spaces left and those who want to take part in one of the rides have until the 14 June to sign up through the website by [clicking here][1].

Meanwhile, the club is hosting a recruitment open day in the West Stand at Kingston Park on Monday 30 June 2014 in a bid to look to recruit match day retail staff, programme sellers, match day hosts, bar kiosk and waiting staff as well as chefs and kitchen porters.

To attend this open day please contact Melissa Mallen on melissa.mallen@newcastle-falcons.co.uk or call 0191 214 2811.
