FALCONS TROPHY GOES ON TOUR

Wednesday 03 July 2013 Written by: Adam

The Falcons were thrilled to be invited along to last week’s Northumberland School Games level 3 event at Tynedale Rugby Club.

Over 100 youngsters took part in sevens and tag competitions on the day and all were pleased to pose for photographs with one of the Falcons’ newest stars – the RFU Championship Trophy.

Falcons Commercial Director Duncan Edward said: “On the back of our Championship victory and promotion back to the Aviva Premiership, we are keen to share the story of that success – and of course the silverware we picked up along the way – with the people who helped us achieve it, our fans across the North.

“The Falcons have always had strong links with the local community, particularly with grassroots and schools rugby. We were thrilled to be invited along to the Northumberland School Games event and it was a great pleasure to be able to invite youngsters and other attendees to pose for a photograph with the Championship trophy.”

This event was the first the Falcons have attended since taking their trophy on the road. Over the coming weeks we will be visiting a number of businesses, schools, rugby clubs and other community locations to discuss the Falcons’ successful season and invite fans to pose for photographs with the trophy.
