Falcons v Saracens now on sale
Tickets for Newcastle Falcons’ Premiership match against Saracens in Philadelphia are now on sale, with just under three months until the club break new ground by playing a competitive game across the Atlantic.
Taking place at the Talen Energy Stadium on the banks of the Delaware River, the match will be the second time a Premiership Rugby fixture has been played in the USA, with the game forming a crucial part of the strategy of growing the game.
It is not the first time that the Falcons have been part of efforts by rugby to broaden its horizons, with the club having toured Japan during pre-season in 2005 and been part of Enisei STM’s pool in the first ever European Rugby Challenge Cup campaign for a Russian team.
Available to purchase through the [**online ticket portal**][1] of MLS side Philadelphia Union, there are two price categories available for general sales, with the majority of the 18,500 capacity priced at $38 for adults and $12 for Under 14s, which must be purchased with an adult ticket.
For supporters looking to enjoy the action from the centre sections of the ground, tickets are priced at $75 per seat while hospitality packages can be booked at $200 per place.
While the kick-off time remains to be confirmed, the game will take place on Saturday 16th September and will be broadcast live on BT Sport in the UK and NBC in the US.
Managing director Mick Hogan said: “We’re all very excited about this game and introducing the club to a new audience over in the USA. It’s a high profile game and I think being part of it is something that our coaches and squad deserve.
“The NFL has made a big success of playing games in England and being part of Premiership Rugby’s efforts to achieve something similar is a big opportunity for us as we continue to grow as a club.
“The USA is the worlds biggest emerging rugby market and Philadelphia is a city that plays host to an array of elite sports. It is a great city and the Talen Energy Stadium is a high-class venue and one I’m sure is going to host an excited crowd and compelling game.”
